2007 mazda 5 overheating while stopped

OK so i recently bought the 07 Mazda 5 grand touring micro van 2.3l 4 cyl and notice that after i have brought the engine up to temp it overheats when not moving. i replaced the engine temp sensor and the fan control module but still doing it. I was recently told that i may have bubbles in the engine so i bled the system. I noticed while bleeding it after about 10-15 mins of idle the radiator would boil over with the funnel in it and almost full.

I know that the previous owner replaced the front end including the radiator and the fan. I have only seen the fan come on a couple times and it never seems to come on when it should which is why i replaced the fan control module. There is no check engine light on it and the only code i pulled from it was the engine temp code which is why i replaced the temp sensor.

The only other issue i found is that they put an after market dvd system in the back and i guess they had wiring issues. I know it doesn't have constant power to the inside of the vehicle because they wired in a relay and bypassed the room fuse. That is my next project to correct the wiring, it sucks having to reset the radio every time.

Any thoughts on the cooling system?

im in same boat but mines a mz 5 2.0 rd 2006.
ive replaced thormastat and coolant sensor also checked fuses my last option is to change fan control unit. A/C works and fan works when its on but doesn't kick in when engine gets hot i have to put a/c on when driving to keep it cool.

Mine didn't work with AC on. I bypassed the fan controller and wired the fan directly. Works but fan is always on.
