2" hitch on 2013 Mazda 5
 

Recently traded in my 2011 Mazda 3 for a 2013 Mazda 5. I am a triathlete and always carrying my bikes around. I had a roof rack on the Mazda 3 but did not like them being up there, feel safer when they are behind the vehicle. After purchasing the 5 I searched for a 2" hitch but soon realized it was impossible. I did not want to deal with the adapters, etc. with a 1-1/4" hitch for my 2" receiver bike rack. Told my "automotive genius" cousin about my predicament and he said to get the 1-1/4" hitch and and a 2" receiver tube and we'll combine them. Bought the Draw-Tite 24874 and a 2" receiver tube. He cut off the 1-1/4" tube and welded on the 2" tube. Looks better than it done from the factory! Images in link below:
