16-inch Wheels on Mazda5 GT
 

I've a 2008 Mazda5 GT (Canada) which comes standard with 17" wheels. I'd like to fit it with 16" steel winter wheels and winter tires, but all the sites I go to only list 17" wheels as possible options for it.

Could I fit the 5 GT with 16" wheels? Would fitments for the GS version work for it? Does anyone know of any changes between the GS and the GT that would make it not work with 16" wheels (e.g. brake disc size, etc.)?

All mechanical features (engine, transmission, suspension, brakes etc) are the same between the GT and the GS. You can use GS wheels to mount winter tires, or go to Canadian Tire, Walmart, Kal Tire or any big auto supply chain and buy steel wheels (16x6.5, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 45-55mm offset).
