Would you fancy a Skyactiv-D 1.5L Mazda3?
 

Having know that Mazda is going to have a 1.5L Skyactiv-D turbo diesel engine on the newly developed Mazda2 and CX-3 with 105HP/4000rpm, 250Nm/1500-2500rpm (105hp，25.5kgm) output performances, it makes me how it will perform on a Mazda3? With a little tweaks by increasing 10-20HP, it should be very practical and with top-notch fuel economy much like Peugeot e-hdi does. Personally, it would be a no-brainer to me comparing to the current 2.0 gasoline models, if Mazda is able to price it similarly. Any thoughts?

I would prefer the New diesel Mazda 3.

I have to say no to your question I prefer the 2.5 gas engine myself. I am looking forward to all the future upgrades with the 2.5!. I have a budget of $10,000 just for engine upgrades. I bet when I do finish all the HP upgrades on my 2.5 I will indeed say ZOOM, ZOOM, ZOOM!
