just noticed today that the two wipers would interfere in their pulled-up position. you'd have to lift the driver side first and then passenger side. This could be due to the rain-x arms that I am using, not sure if the stock arm would do that (more freedom of rotation maybe?)

BTW, the 2009 mazda6 US-spec is out, care to comment of its American styling?

The OE's do that too, Win. I noticed it quite a while ago when I was still running the Bosch blades.

Speaking of Bosch wipers, what happened to them? They used to be one of the best blades you could buy. Now they don't seem to beany better than your average K-Mart brand blade.

 

I did try a pair of expensive Bosch wipers, silicon blades, single beam. What I found was that it did not conform to the windshield very well. The Mazda3's windshield actually does NOT have much curvature. So I returned them and got a pair of rain-x from wal-mart. The rain-x on the driver side has too deep a resess at the pivot point so I had to bend the end of arm a bit to give about 1mm clearance so that the arm does not touch the beam. It does a good job.
