Wheels and tires.

I really want to add rims and new tires to my mazda 3i. Does anyone know of a good website with wheeland tire packages besides the tirerack.com? also does changing to 15's or 17's make a difference on car performance?

changes from 15's to 17's wont affect you performance.
unless you buy some lightweight rims, then in that case, it will increase your performance

I put http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheel...azera_logo.gif
Kazera KZ-V Finish: Silver w/Machined Lip from tirerack 17" they are only 129 each. You will get better performance as far as handling. the car had a lot of roll with the 15" and large sidewall. the 17" will make it look and feel much better. I get a of comps on my car since i put the wheels, spoiler and tints on. Why dont you want to use tirerack??? They were great withme. I had ordered a wheel package that was more for racing and would have had to roll the fenders. The guy at tirerack called me to inform me of that and to see if that is what I really wanted. I would have been pissed if the showed up and didnt bolt right up...He also steared me toward better tires for my driving style.. I have had them for 5 months and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you get the newest style wheel you will pay a lot more money, I rather stick with the classic looks and keep the price down.have fun

I'm glad you said that. I get tired of playing the dissensionist sometimes, but I was thinking the same thing.
They have better, name brand and more expensive wheels the further down you go, but some of those first ones....?
Also, how much do those cheap wheels weigh? How are they made and where? Will they take a hit (pothole or curb) w/o splitting or cracking?
Quality in the hub center and bolt pattern is critical to not having elusive problems w/AM wheels. Whatare their quality standards?
