Hello,

I owned a 2012 Mazda 3 4 door vehicle. I turned on my vehicle and decided to pull off the parking lot, as I was leaving work. 2 minutes later as I began to leave at about 5-8 MPH, my steering wheel locks and U receive several icons on my dashboard. A yellow steering wheel with exclamation icon appeared and the Red battery icon as well. This all happened as my car died and my steering wheel locked. I immediately got super scared and put the car in park and turn my car off and on.

Can someone try to identify what this might be? I understand with vehicles it can be many thing. Should I drive this in the interstate?

 

Are you sure the steering wheel locked, or did you just lose power steering boost when the engine died?

 

Get the battery and alternator professionally tested.
your car runs electric power steering.
