Traded the Speed3 for a Trailblazer SS
 

Well it's been real fun talking with you guys. I traded the Speed 3 in today for a 2007 Trailblazer SS. I enjoy this forum and it's time to find a TBSS forum. thanks for the fun. I have some speed parts I never installed . A HKS blowoff valve with all the parts(brand new) oem replacement HID bulbs 8000k (brand new) and a pre-cut tint kit for mazda 3 (hatch only). I will sell these parts extremly cheap! As I have no uses for them. My lose is your gain blowoff for $125.00+s&h pre-cut tint kit $15.00 +S&H. HID D2C 8000k $25+Shipping

What would you have us say? What is there tosay? Frankly trueRED, I think we are all a little confused? Like, why would you do that?
If I was lucky enough to get a Speed3, it would probably be a long time before I would want to trade it in on something else. The fact that you did it in less than a full model year is...???? [8D]
Maybe you're just more of truck kinda' guy? Good luck @ the gas pumps!! Going half as far on twice as much is gonna get old fast, imo. :D :D :D

I was surprised to see you get rid of the Speed3 myself....I would think you are having to take a pretty good hit on the Speed3 to get rid of it.

this was something I had to do, My wife is pregnant with my second child. The speed3 was having alot of issues every other week . For me to take it to the mazdaspeed dealershipwas a 300 mile round tripper, the closest mazdaspeed dealer was in another state. I hated to let it go,but the engine light came on way to many times for my comfort. I needed something bigger without losing the performance aspect. I found the near perfect balance. I know gas is a issu,but I don't drive that much. beside I the guy I deal with gave me back what I paid for the car, and I got a fully loaded TBSS with leather ,and way better sounding bose system for 31,000 OTD. Frankly there was only so much you can do to a front wheel drive car.

You "had" to get a seven passenger, 12 mpg SUV, because your family size is going up to four ... what your really saying is your wife never liked the speed3. As soon as I saw you mention " my wife" I knew exactly what was up.

I am not married, but that doesn't mean I'm immune to "choosing" to do something which just happens to be exactly what the womanthinks isthe best thing to do ... we've all made "choices" like that ...

Speaking from past experience, I'm guessing he's recently married within the last few years perhaps. I went through the same thing having to let go of a custom when I got married and had a daughter. Wasn't all the wife and kid though. At that moment the first thing going through your mind is being responsible and that tends to make you purchase a "responsible" vehicle. For me, back then, I ended up with a 2K Neon. (which I customized anyways!!! ) Now a few years down the line I have the M3, but when everyone gets together, I grab the keys for my Durango which I picked up for bad weather, family jaunts, hauling, etc... It's good to havebothif you can.I'm gathering that in trueRED's case, that is not a practical solution at the time.

Were you not aware of the lemon law? If my car went in MANY times with CEL problems I would be considering talking to the dealership owner for a "refund"

well it's not a 7 passenger vehicle and it gets more than 12 mpg. it'll hold 5 at most, but 4 comfortably and gets around 15-18 in town and around 20 on the highway. a far cry from what he's coming from? of course it is. but you can't put a 400hp LS2 in a <5000lb. truck and expect it to be real economic on fuel. for what it is and what it's capable of it's admirable.

if you think dealing with women is bad right now, you not being married, just wait till you are married. when you're single you can afford to kinda do what you want and make them mad. soon you say "i do" things change drastically. it gets worse 10 fold :D. they might get mad at you at first, then you've still gotta go home with them....and it only gets worse lol

trueRED, congrats on the purchase. but it's a shame you couldn't keep both, the Speed3 is pretty nice. as you probably guessed i own a SS and saw this and had to say something. a couple of good sites for your new truck are http://www.trailvoy.comand http://www.trailblazerss.com. both are really good sites with lots of info.
