Default suggestions needed

Hi everyone, im new to the forums and to mazda in general. I recently purchased a 2007mazda3s 4 door touring and am so far very pleased. I want to upgrade the performance a little bit without voiding my warranty. I was wondering what suggestions/systems could help me out. Im looking for the most bang for my buck. Mainly concerned wtih increasing hp/torque output and keeping the same gas mileage. Not looking to spend the 5k on the mazda turbo system.

Thanks in advance

You are going to mainly hear I/H/E (Intake/Header/Exhaust) as your answer. They are all pricey with little gains if done cheap. Gaining power and keeping your MPG can be difficult as you have to pump in more air or fuel for more power. More air = more fuel. More fuel requires more air.

If you did I/H/E you would probably lose 1-3 MPG overall.

Realistically you will only see like a 7hp gain to the wheels from those three mods. They are a good starter, just don't give you as much as specs sometimes say. I have never encountered the Typhoon system, but I suggest not spending money on bent tubing. A $50 one is just a copy of the AEM $200. If you don't like the filter, just go out and buy a K&N Cone filter and you have yourself an intake. However, don't skimp on the exhaust. There is FAR more pressure in those systems that you want good quality stuff that won't rust, or welds breaking.

The Warranty thing really comes down to if you modify something, that part and affected parts will no longer be covered. It would be like changing the RAM in your computer and if it is faulty ram and it causes your computer to bog down, overheat and fry your board/HDD/PS, you send it in for warranty work and they see this they have free will to go...you modified...sorry.

hmm.. im pretty sure you'd get more than just 7hp to the wheels from I/H/E

i bought my Fujita intake used, and the previous owner had his 2.3L dynod with the intake on...
he made i think 10 hp at the wheels from the intake alone.
and 9tq.....

and i have a magnalfow catback on my car, and it definetly increased my fuel economy, because of the better flow.

but i wouldnt buy a cheap intake tho, cuz i'd be worried it would make my CEL come on....

oh, and your warranty would be fine if you just stuck with MazdaSpeed parts. mazda cant void your warranty if your using aftermarket parts that they manufacture.
