SPEEDO CLUSTER? Mileage

Hey

If I replace the cluster will the mileage be the same or will it be that of the New "used" speedo?
When I had my Neon everyone said it was stored in the computer, they were all wrong. I put in a used speed and the mileage stay that of the used cluster. Which was 12k less

Has anyone done it and knows for sure?

thanks
east

RE: SPEEDO CLUSTER? Mileage

I am not sure about Mazda but what I read in general about it is that if you mount another speedo you need to go to some guy with the right equipment (laptop-software-connectors) to set the mileage to whatever you want.

The reason I wassearching was that at 100 km/h my speedo is already off bij 6-7 km/h againsta tomtom or another gps. This error will increase with speed.I was wondering if the speed indicatorcould be (re)calibrated.
Idid not find anything related to thisin regards to Mazda's.
