Default Is the Speed3 different from the 3 MPS?

This article implies that the standard MPS sold in Britain has the regular 3 hatchback's spoiler and the regualr 3 suspension height. You can pay an extra 500 Pounds Sterling for the spoiler and lowered suspension that comes on the Speed3's we get here in the US.

Maybe the higher center of gravity on the MPS makes the European version's performance a little lackluster at the track. Anyone know?

For anyone with some track time under their belt, what do you make of this?
"There’s no way you can convert a drift in one direction to a drift in the other, as you can, on a track, in the Focus ST (which has basically the same floorpan). The relatively lighter steering of the Mazda just doesn’t give you the confidence get involved in games like that."
