Just purchased a 2020 Mazda3 hatchback and I can’t stand the chimes that sound every time the car is started. Is there any way to silence them? TIA

 

Just got my Mazda 3 a few days before Christmas, UK spec model. I only get chimes at startup if I haven't done up my seatbelt. Not sure if that's your issue, or wether US spec models behave differently?

 

Short answer.... NO.
The technical answer is sure you can unplug the sound unit PIA to get to them or if at some time you get an ECU calibration program (I have one not 100% that PID/CELL is available?) you should be able to go into the ECU and turn off the warning devices (not recommended for a street vehicle)
