Default Sideview mirror housing

Washing my car this weekend, I noticed that the black plastic "housing" holding the sideview mirror onto the car is loose. Any ideas on what I should do? Do you know if it is clipped on or is it glued to the door? Taking my car in next weekend for an oil change so I will ask them then I guess. Thanks for any help.

Default RE: Sideview mirror housing

The entire mirror mount can be removed by:
-pull off the triangular panel on the inside of the door (where the tweeter is if you have them)
-Unplug the wiring harness
-unscrew the 3 bolts
-remove the mirror mount.

The black portion is in several pieces which you'll see by removing the three bolts holding the "hinging" part together.
