I was wondering if the Mazda short shifter they sell on the Mazda site can be used on the MS3. The throws and notchiness on this car are pretty bad.

 

I don't think a Speed3 specific one is out yet (but I could be wrong.) Go to mazdausa.com and go to the Mazdaspeed accessories section and it should tell you which vehicles the parts are available for.

 

I think the shifter is fine. Granted, it isn't as perfect as my Camaro was with the short shifter installed, but I don't plan on slamming gears in the MS3 like I did on occasion in the American muscle car.

From what I hear the shifting feel is the same with the short shifter installed.
