Service Intervals & Warranty

Hi, I am new at this, this is my first post. I have a Mazda 3 hatch which is 18 months old. It has done only 9,000k's and is due for the third service. The last service was done at 6500 k's. I am told that I have to continue doing the 6 monthly service if I want Mazda to honor any warranty problems. I think that the car is being over-serviced. What do others think?

Total and complete B.S., by law Mazda (through the franchised dealership chain) must honor the warranty on your car if you simply adhere to the schedule as outlined in your Owner's Manual. If you want to mess with your dealership a bit, ask them to put this 6-Month B.S. in writing, and if they are bold enough to do so, send it to Mazda corporate.

Agreed.
Keep any receipts and document the mileage.
Besides, service intervals are listed in the back of the owners manual.

More importantly, stay away from quick lubes UNLESS you bring your own filters. The filters they use are HOT GARBAGE.....

Spend the money on quality filtration..........your car will treat you better - longer.
