Seatbelt Indicator

New to the forum, and sorry if this has been addressed, but does anyone know how to deactivate this indicator. I'm not a fan of wearing my seatbelt for short trips, and I'd really like to turn off the annoying indicator. Any ideas?

RE: Seatbelt Indicator

Buckle the seatbelt before you sit down and then just sit on the seatbelt.

The dealer can deactivate that chime for you. They may argue at first, but I believe there is a TSB out for the deactivation.

There is a TSB and here is the link to it. Note that there is also a temporary deactivation procedure that you can do yourself

dont know if you can find it but check your switch board and locate something that might hit you towards seatbelt indicator (this is highly unrecommended though)

I would check under your seat first, there whould be a wire and little connector in the middle, disconnect them and your seatbelt light should hot work, this is the most popular place where you will find it, close to where you buckle your belt, look for wiring, it should be farily easy, If it won't work open up your fuse boxs under your glove compartment and see if there a fuse for it, if you find it just pull it out. Whatever you do its all your decision, no mine, i am only responding your question.
