Unhappy Scratching on center console help!

I purchased this new 2022 literally yesterday. I went to wipe dust off the center console with a micro fiber cloth (the same I use to clean my glasses lenses). And this happened!

does anyone have suggestions on how to fix?

the dealership is telling me it is not repairable… only replaceable.

any suggestions are welcome!! This is my first car so this is making me sad.

thank you!!

Search the forum for answers. I know there have been discussions from others with the same problem. I have never had a problem with my current or prior Mazda.

Planning to buy one of these for myself. My parents have the CX-30 and it has the same problem. Also the Gauge Cluster has the same type of plastic that scratches easily. From what i saw there is no fix. Only replacement. But if you replace it with new one, you can find plastic screen protectors for them specifically cut for those shapes (like the ones for the smartphone screen). Also a recommendation i recieved from the dealer is to wipe them with wet napkins.
