Hello all. I need to replace the hatch release button a 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback. The repair manual says to remove the rear garnish plate, which requires removing four nuts from the underside of the hatch door. I removed those four bolts and the plastic retainers and 1 extra bolt between the hatch release button and the unlock button. Apparently the garnish plate should just come off with some force but I've applied quite a bit of force but it's not budging. I don't want to break the garnish plate or the door itself. Anyone have any recommendations for removing the piece highlighted in the image?
