Recently installed GROM ipod adapter direct interface
I am writing this post to inform those out there with no aux input but want to play there ipod. I use to use an FM transmitter for my ipod until it broke. I tried a few new ones, but their sound quality was not as good as my previous one. With the help from icspots, i found out about the GROM ipod adapter that plugs directly to the head unit and plays your ipod directly through the stereo. It plugs in where the 6 cd changer would, so there is no need to find a radio station. It is like listening to a cd. It was a simple plug and play install and took a total of 30 minutes max. I am not one who fiddles around with cars either. The write up was very thorough and easy to follow. I actually looked more forward to installing it than listening to the ipod. You can buy the one where it is just an aux jack. I purchased the one that charges the ipod, and allows you to use the steering wheel controls to change the song. I am extremely happy with my buy. The sound quality is excellent. A lot of bass, very clear, and loud (in a good way). I suggest this as a way better alternative to an fm transmitter.
This is the website where i purchased it: http://www.gromaudio.com/store/ipod_...interface.html This is the write up for the install: http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.ph...658#msg2058658 Again, I'd like to thank icspots for all this info. |
Happy to help. :)
