question regarding AVG MPG

I drive a 2015 Mazda 3 4-door 2.0l Automatic. Lately my AVG mpg has been 24.5 and reduced to 24.3 a few days ago. I have been driven the same way as before and the routes are always in a small town where I work and live. Is this number too low?

The variance is way too small to be meaningful in any way. Don't over think it.

Thanks shipo, but I am not really worried about the variance, I am asking if 24.5 mpg itself is too low for driving in the city for this car model. I have a friend who drove an even older model, told me that his AVg MPG rarely drops below 28.

If you drive in enough city traffic you'll get zero mpg; anybody who tells you they get 28 mpg or better in the city on most tanks is lying to you.
