Im looking to buy some 2007 taillights for my wifes 2006 mazda3. Is this possible? do they fit? thanks for all the help

 

yes, just so long as you dont mix sedan lights for hatchback

 

how do I tell the difference? Im looking for the black ones, opposed to the red like the 06.

 

I mean as in shape, it should tell you if its for the sedan or hatchback, if your still confused look on ebay, they have alot of reference pics

The top of the sedan tails slants down as it goes towards the sides vs. on the 5-door where the bottom slants up. Incidentally since you're looking to replace the red ones you have some options, especially since it's a sedan. You can get the clear ones from '04-'06 which have colored inner lenses. You can get the '07-09 clear ones which have clear inner lenses (still a red inner inner lens for the brake/tail, covered by a clear). You can get the OEM LED tails, or you can get one of the numerous aftermarket LED tails available for the sedan.
