Oil Temp Gauge

Does anyone know how to install an oil temp gauge in an 04 mz3? This thing is driving me nuts. http://spwindustries.com/spw/gauges.php

The top one is what I have, the Indigo Smoke gauge. I for the life of me, can NOT figure this thing out. Anyone's advice would be extremely helpful. Thanks all.

You can either get a sender to replace the OE oil drain plug, the easiest, or an oil filter sandwich and install the sender in there. That's also a good option if you plan to install a cooler.
There may be other options, but those are the ones I am familiar with.

It's got a sender that came with it. Only problem is that the wires are only about 5 inches long. No hope what-so-ever in getting this thing hooked up, unless its safe to add some more 22gauge wire to the cable that came with it.

Sounds like an "under hood" mount.
