We picked up our new Mazda last night so i thought i'd search for a good forum, and this seems to be one!.. We picked up an 07 Mazda 3s Grand Touring. Its fully loaded, from heated black leather seats, to the HID lights up front!..Color : phantom purple mica... i'm very very excited for her.. she loves it.:).. still trying to figure out all the extras buttons and things... I drive an F150 4x4 and its juiced up... .. chip, intake, exhaust... so thats what im' thinkin to add to hers. .. intake , exhaust... .. maybe a chip, if there is one... i'll search first before i ask.. ..i'm gald to be here.... hopefully i can post some pics soon!..

Man!! You and Siber Express could be TWINS!!! He has an '07 in PhantonPurple (very cool color BTW) and has a hopped up F-150 show truck. He's posted pics of his dark blue truck and if you search around I'm sure you could find them... perhaps on the Random Chat Thread, or the Vehicles You've Owned... thread?

Yes, welcome Chris!! IMO, this is a very cool forum and I'm signed up to 5 or 6 of them. I'll say it again (sorry guys) we are a very friendly (usually,) and helpful bunch and this is a pretty active forum too.

Did she get asedan or a HB? And be very careful how you answer that question... :D:D :D

Cool man, Thanks Virgin, yeah i' belong to a ford forum for my truck.. I tricked out a 98 GMC .. but traded it for a 4x4.. i needed the room, plus the kid was on the way at the time... i'm also an avid bass fisher, so i'm on a bass forum too!.. Its my wifes car, but i figured i'd help her out a little... .. Its a sedan. One thing Is the HID an option or upgrade?. I was surprised to see this car with them. .. I hope to get some pictures soon, and read what everyone has been doing to these things. i see alot of people have the turbo's.. .. i'd be jealous if this was a turbo.... .. its fast enough!!! .. thing flies~

Since '06 the HIDs have only been available on the GT... in fact they are not an option on that trim line. Before they were an individual option and could be had (if you ordered the car and waited 6 months for the build and ship, or got lucky to find one) onthe "s"trim line, not on the "i", iirc.

As far as chips are concerned, there are a few that from myunderstanding don't work very well. The ECU is close-looped and will readjust itself to almost any piggy-back chip.
There is someone working on a piggy-back that somehow fools the ECU. I don't know much about it yet, but as I've read the results have been good.It's still being tested.

As far as other bolt-ons are concerned, sure. There are tons of 'em.

lol... cool man... yeah i'm searching... so many pros and cons on everything out there.. you know.. you could be having a crapload of issues, but your buddy in the same truck doesnt... ..arrgg opinions!.. lol... .. ..i'll keep searching... seems to be alot of info on here... and i'm glad to be a co-owner!... .. be cool!.. thanks for the replys man!

.. luckly my wife is pretty open to me doing things to her car~. .i want to upgrade the foglamp bulbs too... probably to a silverstar... the ones in there... under those HID's ... grrr... yellow!... .. after that.... . intake.. ....etc.... you know how the mod monkey gets on your back and you can shake him~.. lol

wife looked at the new HB's, but we found this one... .. . 6500 miles on it~!... read the report and it came from the factory 1/4/07 .. irvine cal with 10 miles.. i think it was a program car... we just go lucky with this one... .

*edit* ONE MORE THING - i read the foglight post .. and i saw the laws stated by the post as well for foglamps in texas. Is it or isnt it illegal to run yellow fogs. I know your not suppose to have them on when you have the brights (f150 foglamp mod *wink).. but i guess it doesnt really answer my question.. . are they or not??..
