Default Mazdaspeed exhaust for n.a 2.3

Okay, this question is for me lol.
What gains do you get with a Mazdaspeed exhaust for a 08 s sport 2.3?
I'm thinking about doing this but some people said they lost hp?
My concern is the power, and also sounding to ricey. I want my car to sound beefy, not ricey!

It is unlikely to do anything for power, and depending upon how much valve overlap Mazda has designed into the engine, you can even lose a bit of power and a bit of fuel economy.

i just replaced my old ricetastic cb with a stock spd3 exhaust, since i have the sedan i had to cut and extend some places also it didnt come with a cat because a spd 3 exhaust has its cat before the flange. Somehow i managed to blow a chunk of material out from my old cat so i decided to scrap it as well, once the spd3 exhaust was put on i noticed it had alot more top end pull but but i had lost bottom end because of the larger diameter piping and missing my cat. Once i get enough money im going to get another stock cat section and weld it in hoping to get some tq back

You took your cat out?
How about headers? What increase with that?

Sorry i was mistaken i still have the cat that comes with the stock spd3 exhaust still on, no clue what i was thinkin when i said i didnt. I have the OBX headers a 4-1 design which is more suited for higher rpms, the vibrant one which rich (virgin1) has is a 4-2-1 design which is better for low end response. My setup is pretty much setup for a n/a car that has a little more a s s behind it, i wont say why i choose to go this route (cuz im not allowed to) but i wont be able to dyno my car till august when i have the super street class in school.
