mazdaspeed 3 questions

hi,
going to the mazdaspeed dealer tomorrow night, wondering who has ordered the mazdaspeed 3 and who plans on getting one. im a current honda/acura guy but this mazdaspeed 3 is getting my attention. i expect to pay invoice for the vehicle but have a few questions for you mazda guys,
1) how well are the mazda vehicles built? i have owned some fords in the past and the build quality hasnt been the greatest. are they fairly reliable?
2) anyone know if mazdaspeed is developing products for the new 3? (intake/intercooler etc..)
3) any other wheel options for the speed 3?e wheels that come on it are not so cool.

im sure i will have other questions .
thanks

RE: mazdaspeed 3 questions

Only 1 wheel option, they are developing Mazdaspeed accessories for the Mazdaspeed3 (rumor has it of an extra 30 hp with MS intake/exhaust.)

I know one guy here at work that has well over 200,000 miles on his Mazda 626, with very few issues. I've got 42,000 and 39,000 on my 6 and 3 respectively with very few issues as well.

The 3 is a particularly nice car for the vehicle segment. Drive the vehicles you are looking at back to back and I guarantee you'll drive home in the Mazda.

RE: mazdaspeed 3 questions

I just purchased a Mazda 3, 2007. Traded in a 2006 Mustang GT for it. The stang is great if you just like going fast all the time, but other than that it just kind left me flat. I much prefer the interior of the Mazda 3. It has options that no Mustang ever will. I'm very pleased with it. We've had Mazda's in our family in the past and they've always been great cars.

im sure that as soon as you can get the car the mazdaspeed will have a kit that you can get that includes a cold air intake, full catback exhaust and im not sure what else. it goes for $2000 and your good for 298hp and 310lb of torque :)

RE: mazdaspeed 3 questions

well i put my downpayment on the mazdaspeed 3 today. hopefully will have it end of october.
i choose silver for a couple reasons.....
the blue is hard to judge by photos (and my dealer wasnt getting any on the first shipment)
the red looks real nice, but i have owned red cars before and when they get a few years old they loose shine (not sure about mazda paint though, never owned a mazda)
black looks the best in my opinion, but soooo hard to keep clean.

never purchased a car without a test drive before, hope i am not disappointed, as my acura integra has been nothing but great and almost hate to trade it it.

i just got my true red mazdaspeed mazda 3. The torque in this car is amazing. I had a Evo ix before this and to tell you the true I like the mazda much better. I can't wait for the tuner upgrade
