Mazdaspeed 3 door molding removal?
 
Just purchesd an 08 ms3 love it but the door moldings got to go.
Any tips for removing them ? thanks all :D

fishing line/tooth floss. Get it under one end and saw back and forth until you released enough to pull. It helps to have the molding warmed up as it will soften the adhesive, so either sit it in the sun in hot weather or get a heat gun. Goo gone the residue and you're good to go.

On my protege the door moldings are mass loaded, meaning heavy. The weight reduces noise by damping the vibration of the door skin.

Got the moldings off and all the adhesive but you can see in some spots where the moldings were on. i washed it down pretty good maybe some wax will fix that??

Being it is a 2008, it's probably the difference in paint color from exposure to the sun. You could try some rubbing compound on whole side followed by wax, but i have my doubts. :confused:
