I received my CorkSport Skid Plate today. Looks like some nice Aluminum work. I will be dropping it off at my Powder coater buddy on Monday along with 2 new rear trailing arms.
I also ordered a new steering wheel from Cork Sport . My leather cover was starting the first signs of wear so rather get another cover for the stock wheel I now have a custom sport wheel to install!
About 3.5 hours detailing the interior. The picture dont really show the cleaning but I meticulously clean all the door jams and all the weather striping. I even use a vacuum cleaning in a semi sealed door to vacuum all the dust particles in the air for about 30 minutes after I have wiped and applied leather conditioned and cleaned all the windows.
Did much the same, myself, on my own 3 S GT.
Hadn't ever taken the time, previously, to get down into all the little crevices. Funny how a decade of skipping over those areas can add up. Several hours of picking at the "in between" spots, throughout. Still need to shampoo the carpets and get the headliner. But, already the thing smells fresher and cleaner.
A few of those little foam-tipped (painter's) sticks, Q-tips, etc.
Once done, it'll be time to go through the engine bay in a similar way. Lots of crevices in there ...

I was doing a little detailing and end up knocking some skin on my knuckles so I ordered a nit cap set to cover all those nuts bolts and untidy looking fasteners.
And now I've learned of something that I never knew existed. Sheesh!
I may have to acquire a set for my CX-5.
Here is another item you may like? If you work under the hood of any vehicle of yours this little item will not only protect the arms from loss of skin but also add a nice touch to the appearance under the hood. Simple and very inexpensive trim edging. It comes in many sizes, textures and quantities.

Installed and covered most of the door jam bolts. I was short 2 covers. Figures right! ha!
