Default Cold air intake

Hi i'm new hear. I just bought a 05' Mazda 3s hatchback. I want to put a cold air intake, and eventually headers. My question is which company has the best product. I hear AEM & Injen have the best. But does it really matter? I mean there's a ton of different companys out there offering the same thing. Right? I've been told I could buy a cheap pipe(well not to cheap), and just put a good filter on it. I just want to know the best product out there. Without spending a lot of money, and don't tell me a certain CAI is better then the rest just cause' your selling it. If so give me a link to prove it.

its better to get a name brand cai and other parts because with non branded items you run the risk of getting parts that dont fit right or cause minor to major difficulites. K&N, AEM, and Injen are all highly recommended cai, and the choise is yours to make, as for your headers draxas adn thunder are the only ones available, but you can also check the sites sponsers.

I can give you the link to the Simota website and you can decide for yourself.
I have the CAIs in stock.

I'd recommend AEM or Injen. I went with AEM.

I have a question along that same line. I'm in an 07 Mazda 3 hatch, 2.3 motor. I noticed the battery is encased and that there is an air intake routed from the front to blow air into the case. It's routed right over the top of the air filter for the engine. If I switch to a cai will that air cooler for the battery be removed from the engine? If it is I wonder how that will affect the encased battery?

the cold air intake will fit right underneath the air source for the battery.

I bought a Simota intake, and I love it. Injen and AEM are extremely overpriced.

I'm looking for a ShortRam intake, does anyone know if Simota offers this for my 06 3s hatch?
