Mazda 3 roof rack - foot pads
 

I had the OEM roof rack (0000-8L-L20) installed with my 2018 hatchback when I bought it new. I take the rack off during the warmer months because of the noise with the sunroof open, but during a recent move, I lost one of the footpads (right rear) that sit between the rack leg and the anchor point. The replacement hardware kit that includes footpads (0000-8L-L12) is discontinued. It's listed as available from a bunch of online OEM parts resellers, but none that I have tried to purchase from actually have any in stock. I've called around to a bunch of dealers with no luck. Not finding any used options online.

Any thoughts on where else to look? I'd like to avoid having to buy a whole new set of crossbars. The same racks were used for the 2014-18 model years on all Mazda 3s (hatchback and sedan). The pads are different for the hatch vs. sedan, so the part I need is actually a throwaway if someone is installing on a sedan, but I'm not getting any traction asking dealers to pull out a pad for me from one of the full crossbar packs and just set that pack aside for a sedan :) I assume some trade-ins would come in with crossbars installed - would a pre-owned shop have any spares? I've spent too much of the last week of my life trying to track this down - can anyone help?

I found the hardware kit (0000-8L-L12) through Vintage Parts (https://www.vpartsinc.com/). They seem to have a good supply of hard-to-find Mazda parts. They will not sell directly to consumers - you have to order through a friendly dealer. The price was close to original list.
