Mazda 3 Rear Vehicle Monitoring?

I am new to this forum so please forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place.

However I have a question, I have recently placed an order (last week) for the new Mazda 3 (1.6 Sport Nav).

I have recently seen a video on youtube of the Mazda 3 demonstrating a rear vehicle monitoring system. However I can not find any information on it. Does anybody know if this is available on UK spec cars, and if so which models?

Thanks Alan.

I just got a new 3, and am not aware of any rear monitoring system on a US spec car. I'd like to see the video you mention. I think Mazda offers a rear camera on some of the SUV's, but have never seen anything about one on a 3.

That's a link to the video of the system I am talking about.

Interesting. When you said "rear vehicle monitoring" I was thinking of a backup camera which is a different animal entirely.

Mazda does offer the system shown in your video in the US in the Mazda 6, but not in the 3. They call it "blind spot monitoring system". I do wish they had it in the 3, it is a nice feature.

Here is a link, it is under "safety".
