Mazda 3 2004 2.0 Fuel filter location

Mazda 3 2004 2.0 Fuel filter location
Hi!
Where is the fuel filter in Mazda 3 BK 2.0 sedan?
I searched on google for guides how to replace it and found videos and pictures that shows it locates near rear right wheel behind blastic cover. I disassembled the plastic cover only to notice that the fuel filter isnt there.
I followed the fuel lines and could not find the filter anywhere. This vehicle have 270k km driven and i bought it used so i have no idea if the filter have ever been replaced so would be nice to replace it but i just cant find it anywhere??
