As I remember I got itafter filling out the mail in survey they'd sent me.
I don't know if it's a requirement or not, but if you haven't and you still have the survey.. what can it hurt, right?

bkey71 hasn't been on in 10 months...it's not a moving target at least. TGM6 seems to have disappeared as well. (gone since Feb) whore;)

About 6 months based on when you showed up (842 since March 07)....Not that long at all. You'll pass me in no time as well. (roughly 140 posts/month vs my ~70/month) I've never been a big "post count" person...I've known people on websites with 10,000 posts that didn't know what the hell they were talking about, and have met people considered newbies that positively contribute.

I guess it's kind of like the ebay thing (somewhat a measure of reliability), only without feedback.
