High HC in emission test
Mike, It is possible, but rare, especially at 62K miles. Not saying it can't happen, just a pretty costly thing to replace if you aren't 100% sure. Go for the cheap and easy stuff first I usually suggest.
If the cat is contaminated, then I highly suggest the Iso-heet treatment. Maybe even double the dose if you want to risk it running crappy for a while. I have had two older cars (1990 Prelude with 233K miles and 1980's Saturn with 288K miles) where the cat was fouled by oil contaminates and the extreme heating caused by the iso chamber temps helped them start working again. Its easy to try and if it doesn't work you are only out about $5.
In the end its your car and you can research other sites to develop your personal opinion.
