If you have the hands of a 2 year old, replacing the HID bulbs is a snap. For me, I had to remove the bumper cover and the headlight assemblies to replace the bulbs. There was no way to get to them with my hands (I'm not even burly). Does someone know of an easier way than this? I did the search and couldn't find anything that would be of assistance. I used some Osram nightbreakers that I took out of the modded projectors in my old corolla. I noticed an increased brightness immediately. I guess these were the original bulbs from 2006.

 

Some Mazda's require the removal of the plastic inner guard to access the bulbs.

 

there is a lockring you need to twist/unlock before you pull out the bulp.
