why does this part of the exhaust look burnt? is there any way i can fix it? and is that the muffler or..?

i attached a picture of it.

Looks more like rust to me.

Looks like heat disscoloration to me. Here's a pic of my less than a year old stock 2.5 when I removed it to install a MS3 abe.

what should i do? cuz it doesnt look good. and, is that the muffler? or how you call that?

What you do is, nothing. Why? Because there's nothing you can do; the discoloration is normal.

If it bothers you that much lower your car so you can't see it or paint it black with some high temp paint. It's normal. Here's a pic of the three month old MS3 exhaust I put on. Same thing happens.
