Fog Lights for 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback
Blue would be one of the worst choices for a fog light if you want to use it for fog, white or amber is best. Also blue on the front of the car is illegal in most if not all States, only white or amber is allowed.
I personally like yellow (for looks only). But it is better to match color of headlights. IE: if headlights are stock they are around 3400 K brightness range. If you have HiD's they could could be 4300K up to 6000K (for normal ones----the higher the number the less output-----best is below 7000K) for more on color: http://www.delonixradar.com.au/hid-x...lour-chart.php
but the research says that yellow lights are no better than white lights at penetrating fog. The theory bandied about was that yellow light has a longer wavelength and is therefore less likely to be reflected by the fog particles. Turns out, this is complete poppycock.
in order to get yellow light, what fog-light manufacturers do is put a yellow lens over a white light. That cuts your light output by 20 percent to 30 percent, which is counterproductive.
