engine swap diy

on a 2005 mazda 3 - trying to swap a blown '05 2.3L with a used '04 2.3L engine.
any diy's or gotchas on this big job?

your gonna need an 04 ecu btw, i have the mazda service manual, but its on another hard drive @ home and i wont be there till this weekend

need a '04 ecu?

why the need for an 2004 ecu? what is different in the ***mechanicals*** that necessitates the '04 ecu?
