RE: electronic governor

this question has been asked so many times it aint funny.

there was a lengthy discussion on it on mazda3club.com.
pretty much, i dont think it can be removed. altho one person had a dealer raise the limiter to 220km/h.
and by the way, if you find a way to make it go faster, you'll need tires with a higher speed rating.... just so ya know

I think that guy is full of something (on having the dealer increase his top speed)...No way a dealer would alter the top speed limiter on a vehicle. A single lawsuit would shut them down. (Not to mention the dealers don't have the knowledge necessary to defeat the safeguards put in by Mazda...there is a reason that there aren't any aftermarket re-programs available.)

RE: electronic governor

i dunno....
it might have the guy at the mazda dealership coulda been the m3 driver's relative or a very good friend.

(p.s. woohoo!! 200th post)

RE: electronic governor

I don't care who's friend it was, the dealerships don't have the technical knowledge to reprogram/modify the factory ECM.

If someone did have that knowledge, a productwould already beforsale given the demand from such an enthusiast market.
