ECU replace 2007 Mazda 3
 

Hi Guys. Recently I bought a 2007 Mazda 3 sedan. And after few days AT light popped up and I thought it may be the transmission oil. However, I came across that my ECU is bad and I have to replace it. So I took my vehicle to a mechanic and he showed me where my ECU is bad and it's getting hot and he showed me that the ECU is already been bypassed. And he said that I have to replace my ECU. And in Sri Lanka, it would cost around LKR 100000 to 150000 ($500-$750). Because of that reason I was searching on the internet to buy a new ECU from Japan or from any other European country. So when I was checking through my ECU code which is 2797213541 I found only Mazda Demio ECU units. Now I am thinking that the previous owner changed the original ECU and put a reprogrammed Demio ECU.

- I need to know can we use Mazda Demio ECU on Mazda 3 or has it been replaced from the original ECU?
- Is there a place where I can buy the ECU and get it shipped to Sri Lanka?

You can get one on ebay but got be same port number or fix your original witch I think its cheaper.
