Does the power steering pump for 07 08 have a reset button?

Hi every one, I have searched the net to find any issue that may be similar to mine, yet only found one but cant access that page. So I was wondering if there is a reason my car is not communicating with my power steering pump. I went through a bit to make sure the pump was wired correctly. After all this there is no communication with my pump to my car, so i figure there has to be a reset switch somewhere. If anyone can help me that would be great!
Thanks!

Try a long battery disconnect - like 30 sec.
How did you determine the car isn't communicating with the steering pump anyway?

I am having the same issue, although my car is a Mazda 3s 2.3 engine. My car was in a wreck and the pump got damaged, i replaced the power steering pump and as soon as i unplugged the old one the power steering light came on. Now i placed the new one on, and it is not reading it at all, meaning there is no movement. I flushed the lines and tried placing an OBII tested without any luck in reading it. Any one out there think they can help? I don't even want to think of the Dealer as i know they will be asking for 1,000 + Thanks again all!

your gonna have to take it to a dealer sry to say, you would think that if you replaced the old pump with another it would work, unfortunatly anytime a device like that is removed it needs to be reprogrammed.
