COLD AIR INTAKE

hey guys! i was wondering if any of you guys who swap your stock intake to a cold air intake? did it make any difference by any chance (instead of the growling sounds that it makes)?? i'm trying to do some research on my 07' mazda 3 s touring and see what my stock intake is... i am currently getting about 30MPG, but would like to increase it a bit more.. let me know guys!! thanks

I like mine, it seems a little more peppy, but it was peppy from the start too. But I think I have a more snappier accel too, it used to bog before I installed my CAI, now it's just smothe.

Well, I have a 3i so the only growl I get is from the rear of the car. Now it's more in the front at high revs. Milage is roughly the same, but on the better side. 400+ miles before fill up, even though that was freeway, 375'ish city. But the responce is whats the thing I notice the most. If you have a 5spd, you don't bog out as much as with stock air intake.
