Can I pull a connecting rod from crankshaft access?
 

2.0L 1999 Mazda3

Can a connecting rod be removed for inspection without crankshaft removal and without removing the head? I need to physically remove the connecting rod.

#2 cylinder if that makes a difference....

impossible, either the crank goes or the head has to come off
