Bad Engine Mount

Guys,

I was experiencing some vibration after 60mph. I tested everything from ball joints to shocks, I mean the whole suspension and it turn out to be passenger mount. I looked at the rubber and it was broken. I read a couple of threads about this passenger mount going bad but never read anything from getting a good mount brand, I mean a polyurethane mount. Any thoughts?? Also do I have to change the other mounts since this one has been damaged for awhile?

mzdaspd304, why two different brands for engine mounts, I mean I looked in ebay and it seems that wicked makes the rear too. What is the difference in quality for the rear mount between these two brands? Do you know?

Oh, i didn't see that wicked made a rear mount, i must of overlooked it. If they make both then i would suggest getting them as a pair..

I have a TRZ "dog bone" mount in the rear but wicked seems to be the only one i can find that makes an upper mount. So i would be riding with a wicked up top and a TRZ on bottom. Both situations are better than stock. our stock mount suck a s s

I had the AWR rear in my car for two yrs. I bought it "gently" used and was told it was the 70 durometer, but have no way to confirm that fact. For all I know I may have been lied to and it was actually the 88.

The first thing I noticed was a kick in the car upon start up, but generally liked the overall affect at first.
However, after two years of the steering wheel and dashboard vibrating violently when I had to sit at a stop light, I pulled it for the factory mount. I am much happier now.

As for the passenger side upper, they are fluid filled and known to be a problem. The "bag" develops a leak and when the fluid has all leaked out the mount becomes hard causing additional vibrations where there were none before.
Mine has been replaced once under warranty, but if I could find a good, reliable replacement that was not fluid filled and would not cause the steering wheel to shake @ stoplights, I would go for it as this problem will surly crop up again sooner or later.

I was quoted $150 to change my passenger side mount at the dealership. That includes labor. Just an FYI when you change it
