Proud owner of a '07 Axela (japanese import) 1.5 here in NZ. I've got a couple of questions, but I will post the other seperately. Does anyone know where japanese domestic mazda chassis numbers are? My understanding is that these cars do not have a vin like most countries, just a shorter chassis number. Its got an NZ imported vin plate. I've looked in the common places - edge of windscreen, engine firewall, drivers b-pillar. I cant see a carpet flap to lift up. There is a black sticker at the base of the drivers b pillar but no chassis number on it. cheers if you can help..I need to do some fixing and was hoping the chassis number would shed some light on sourcing parts.
