Anyone with an 08 3s with single disc player unlock the trip computer?
 

I've tried searching, but all the threads are so jumbled with info that I can't find what I want. Has anyone with an 08 3s with the single disc player unlocked their trip computer? I've seen something about having to disconnect the battery, but I can't even get the DIS ON screen to come up. Anyone have any words of wisdom?

Nope, on '06-'07 models it can be unlocked on any HU. On '08 models it can only be unlocked on the 6CD HU's. On '08.5-'09 models they completely separated the HU's and there are different part numbers for each configuration (single/6CD, bose/non-bose, etc) for HU's having the trip computer and those that don't.

I have a 2008. How do I unlock the HU?

Do you have a single CD HU, or a 6CD one?
