Default Another Rim/wheel question..SORRY!

So Im deciding on getting another set of rims for my mazda3 sedan. I first had 7 spokes with 1.5in lip at first, then mesh-like style rims, and now im thinking about 6 (thick)spoke with a 3 inch lip. YES 3 inches lol. The shop says it will fit because the rims are 17x7.

Sooo the question is...

which looks better on our 3's??

ill post pics ofall 3 rims tomorrow..photobucket isnt working.

What is the offset of the wheels? with a 3" outer lip, the spokes must curve WAY back from the mounting surface to the rim. I make it a rule to never listen to what a wheel shop says will fit. They're usually looking for a sale.

With a 17x7, you MAY be able to get away with a 42mm offset but don't go beyond that, 48mm would be better, 60mm is stock.

If you've already gone through 3 sets of rims on your car, you must have money to burn. Must be nice.

haha well actually if you look back on the past posts I had a set of rims I bought for 30 bucks. painted it black and a friend bought it for 300..so with the money I made from the rims I bought my second set. and now some one wants to buy the ones I currently have on. so I'm gonna use that money to buy the new set. =)

so no I don't have money to throw away I wish I did tho haha.

pics will be up soon. PROMISE.
OH and the rims are black. not sure about the offset. but the shop is willing to let me test fit theirs.

<EDIT>

They look cool. I like the bottom ones the best of all. Looks like the spokes do curve way back into the rim. I like a deep dish wheel.

Jesus!! What is the offset? +35??
I like the (oops) first ones the best, but the 3 can't support a lip that is that wide, visually speaking. IMO, the 3 requires spokes that extend to the outer rim as much as possible, or the wheel looks too small for the car... even if they are 17+"'s diameter.

random question:
how hard was it to keep those mesh rims clean??
i almost bought a set of 18" mesh wheels, but could find any i like, and ifi did, they didnt have the right bolt pattern, or offset.

the first time i cleaned those rims took a while cause i had to do every single spoke and in between. but after a while i got used to it, so it didnt take as long as it did before. Another reason why im going with fewer spokes is because im getting lazy haha. And another thing, I think that the 3 looks better with 5-6 spokes on it. I guess im just tired of the mesh look
