ambient temperature
 

does anyone know how to change the reading of the ambience temperature from Celsius to Farenheit?
I disconnect the battery to work on the car,put it back but when i started the car it had changed the display temperature to celsius,

turn your ignition to the ON.
Turn off the stereo and the AIR.
Hold the Power/Volume button in with your thumb and then hold the MEDIA button for five seconds.
Once you release the MEDIA button, you were a beep and the temp will change from C to F

what models/years offer this temp option? my 05 3S does not have it?!?

In the US they started offering it in 2006. Some countries offered it before then.

My 04 Mazda 3 has the capability to read the temp and show me all the extras to the right of the radio station but doesn't. Why is the car capable to display it if they don't have it working? If I push and hold the power/media button it lights up but doesn't actually show me info in normal mode.

^^ They used the same display across multiple countries, some of which did not support the extra features at the same time as others. Most of the stuff on the right side has to do with the automatic climate control (ACC) feature. This wasn't offered in the US until 2006, and then only on the GT model. So those display functions wouldn't be of any use on a car with manual climate control.
