Adding a temp guage to a 3

Has anyone out there added a temp guage to their 3? If so, what kind and what was the process? Thanks Much!

what type of gauge? you already have a water temp oem

Not if it's a Gen2 Mazda3. Even then all the Gen1 cars get is a glorified "idiot gauge" which is slaved to the OBD-II computer and will only register "too hot" when it's "too late".

well they didnt say what year, dont even know which gauge they want. i thought that gen 2 had the 3 little light though

As I understand it, the 2010 has a 2-State light that only lights up when the engine gets too hot; the 2011 and later has a 3-State light, one color for cold, off for normal and another color for hot.

yeah i remember us having a little conversation about that a little bit ago but i couldnt remember for sure. All i know its pretty stupid because people are going to ask the same questions about it
