2015 mazda3 gt door rattling due to music
Hey the doors really vibrate and rattle ... I'm wondering if it can be minimized or stopped altogether as its very distracting. I picked up this model because of the 9 speakers but usually am too distracted to enjoy my music. The volume is moderately loud yes but I've never had one vibrate and rattle so badly. Any thoughs or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

If you have a subwoofer, increase the crossover point frequency, to up to 150 hz +. Most subs are around 80 Hz. This way all frequencies below 150 get handled by sub and rest of speakers do over 150 +. Also set so it crosses quickly by setting crossover point to 24db/octave so there is little overlap. 6db/octave is too much overlap.
I don't know what system you have and don't care, just do the above. This will take all bottom bass out of your door speakers and no more rattle. |

As far as I know I'm unable to change those settings? As well the last year model had ten speakers and this year had 9 I think they removed the sub. I'll look into this answer though and thanks for the suggestion. It's so annoying.

Not sure on side effects of adding extra insulation to isolate back of speaker vibes from hitting door would turn out. The insulation may actually stop breathing in door panel and absorb water contributing to more problems, like rust, shorting out speaker connections when wet.
The pics above are from my car and I had to insulate the roof with spray foam and insulate the rear hatch door as well as put silicone around licence plate! |

Its a common fault with the newer Mazdas. Take it back to the dealership. There should be a TSB on the issue.
