2015 Mazda 3 ECU for Singapore Model

Hi All,

I am seeking an ECU for my Mazda 3 (image below), which has been stressful.

A question:
1. Do both numbers have to match i.e. PELS-18- ... & P5BG 18- ... when searching online for one to match my car?

Thanks in advance

I didn't. I had to order a new one straight from the manufacturers in Japan. My mechanic is currently in the process of reprogramming the new ECU as we speak.

Hope this helps.

Did all 3 sets of numbers match on the new box? PELS etc

Nope. So what was different was there was an 'A' at the end. So, it read PELS-18-881A.

It was reprogrammed successfully, he is now trying to program the key to the ECU.

Universal information that will pertain to not only Mazda but most all different makes and model vehicles.
A refurbished or another term rebuilt ECU will generally not match factory numbers. The rebuilder will do a pass-through or what is also called ECU flash with the most currently available or last ECU update from the auto manufacture.
There are dozens of ECU/PCM/TCM business mostly in the USA that offer them. For harder to find units they may have a core charge for the return of your old unit.
OEM number will often be superseded by the auto manufacture. You must contact a dealership parts department and have them see if there were any revisions to an existing part number on any part you are seeking.
